Setting Up Serio IT Service View Web Pages

Serio IT Service View can produce Web Pages that show the current Device Status and other key information about the Devices it is monitoring.

To set up Serio IT Service View Web Pages,

  1. You need to have your web server already set up. You can use any type of web server, provided only that Serio IT Service View can write its web pages to a file directory that is accessible as a virtual directory through the web server.

  1. Create a file directory for the Serio IT Service View web pages and configure it as a Virtual Directory the within your web server.

  1. If Serio IT Service View is currently Online, then go Offline.

  1. Choose 'Web Pages' from the 'Setup' menu in Serio IT Service View.

  1. In the 'Web Page Setup' dialog, tick the option 'Produce Serio IT Service View Web Pages'.

  1. Use the 'Browse...' button to select the directory that you created for the web pages in step 2.

  1. Click 'OK'. Serio IT Service View will start producing the Web Pages when you next go Online.

  1. To access the Web Pages, enter the URL for the virtual directory you created in step 2 in the address bar of a browser, adding 'ccstatus1.htm' at the end of the URL. For example, if the URL of the virtual directory is 'www.mycompany.com/serio/', the URL of your Serio IT Service View web pages would be:

www.mycompany.com/serio/ccstatus1.htm.
