Creating a New, Empty Plugin

This topic describes how to create a new, empty Plugin with Serio IT Service View.
To create a new, empty Plugin within Serio IT Service View,
In the left pane of the Serio IT Service View window, expand 'MIB Modules' then expand 'Generic MIB'.
Right click on 'Plugins' and choose 'Add Plugin'.
In the 'Name' tab page, enter a Name and Description for the new Plugin.
Tip: The Name and Description will help other users understand what the Plugin is for. Refer to the standard Plugins provided with Serio IT Service View for examples.
In the 'Script Tags' field you can enter tags which direct the New Device Wizard on what information it should collect when a user adds a new Device to Serio IT Service View that uses your Plugin. Enter the following:
tag_poll,tag_snmp
Click 'Save and Close' to save your Plugin.
