Unable to setup email alerts
I am in the process of setting up the software and when I go through the email setup wizard I get an error message when sending a test email. The error is Unable to relay 500 5.7.1
All email systems are functining correctly and have been tested. The program is setup on the Exchnage server (Windows 2003 x64, Exchange 2007)
I dont know where to look to sort this problem out, has anybody any ideas?

The error is from your email
The error is from your email server, and that's where you'll find a solution.
What it is saying to you is that it doesn't believe the ITSV is a permitted email client. Usually it's sorted out by enabling a particular email address to send via SMTP. Remember, SMTP is an open protocol, so email servers need to be fussy about where they take connections from.
I'm not an Exchange admin expert, but this usually yields a solution.

One thing additional: Exchange does not use SMTP, so the fact that Outlook works doesn't really mean anything.
An alternative approach is to use the MAPI option.
