| Serio Change Management
is designed with one principle in mind - to help organisations cope professionally
with a wide-range of structured IT change.
You can easily model key IT business processes that your company
needs to perform - activities such as software modifications, CMDB
change, and key server reconfigurations.
Using the change modeling tools provided with Serio, Change Managers
build templates that
reflect organisational and IT change - for example
Employees joining or leaving the company
Changes to server systems (for example, the application of a new service pack or patch)
Amendments to software systems
These templates are then easily applied to Changes as and when
required, so that once you've defined the process you need, Serio
will follow the steps you've indicated.
In order to ease the task of Change modeling, Change Managers have
a wealth of tools at their disposal, including the Serio
Change Modeler, which shows a graphical representation
of the Change during design. The Modeler aids design in showing
branches, decisions, tasks, stages, dependencies and potential errors/unresolved
paths in the Change as the Change is built.
Change Managers can also control the level of detail shown on screen
at any time - from 'highly detailed' to 'overview', and can easily
identify slippage andfailures. By using the built-in messaging tools,
you can keep groups of interested customers, the Change Manager
and Change Board informed about the progression of the Change.
ITIL® Compliant Change Control
If your organisation uses ITIL-derived processes for CMDB Change
Management, you'll find Serio able to deal with the complexities
of reporting, assessment, authorisation, scheduling and implementation.
