The Scottish Tourist Board website visitscotland.com was set up to provide a link between the 12 million visitors who come to Scotland each year and the 15,700 tourism businesses that provide these customers with accommodation, transport, entertainment, things to see and do and information on trades & services. Tourism is a vital industry, employing some 178,000 people, and injecting £2,500,000 into the Scottish economy each year.

visitscotland.com, through its website and e-commerce technology, aims to make booking holidays and trips in Scotland much easier whether they be for personal or business reasons.
